The Jackson Safety 20413 Charger hard hat is a contoured dome, cap-style protective helmet from HDPE with a four-point adjustable pinlock suspension and universal accessory slots. This protective headwear meets American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z89.1-2003 Type 1 impact requirements for protection from impact striking the top of the head and Class E electrical requirements to reduce the danger of exposure to high voltage conductors. The adjustable pinlock suspension fits sizes 6-1/2 to 8". The HDPE (high-density polyethylene) outer shell is lightweight (13.5 oz.) for comfort, impact resistant, and has a trim bill for a greater range of upward vision than a full brim or visor. The suspension straps and nape strap are made of woven nylon, which has a good strength-to-weight ratio and resists growth. The edge of the hat is shaped to form a rain trough (or gutter) that guides rainwater to drain off the bill, helping to reduce the amount of water running down the wearer's neck.
